What is Encaustic Painting:-
The
painting is made using the hot was which is obtained from bees, basically wax
from bees was used using the coloured pigments by mixing them in the hot wax ,
if the wax gets cooled it will not be able to get mixed up properly. This
painting was made up on hard boards, but as of now, there are so many materials
used for example canvas and glass. This painting was practiced systematically
layer by layer means on completing the first layer using brushes then we can
start another layer onto it after that the painting is scratched using any
material so that the painting looks shiny and scratching also help in other way
i.e. the surface gets equal. This is very traditional painting, people are
practicing this painting from ancient times.
